Hi,
for our event we have three different tickets. They cost 4250€, 4450€, 4650€. The cheapest should cost only 3950€ until a given date. If I apply a discount it always affects all prices. Is there a way to apply this for only one price? Maybe I could extend or alter the core files? Where does the discount logic happen?
The early bird discount will apply to all pricing options as you shared. We do provide assistance with editing templates but this would be a core edit which is not supported.
Thanks for your help.
I have tried EE4 on our test server but could not find the early bird option which is why I reverted to EE3. Could you please answer the following two questions:
Where in EE4 do I configure individual early bird discounts?
Which files in EE3 handle the logic for early bird discounts?
Where in EE4 do I configure individual early bird discounts?
EE4 doesnät currently have an Early bird discount as such, but what you can do is create two tickets, one that is only sold between X and Y times for a set price and the other which is sold after that for a larger price. Both tickets can still be applied to the same datetime. You can also limit the capacity of th early bird tickets as well, to increase scarcity.
Which files in EE3 handle the logic for early bird discounts?
/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso_ee31365/includes/functions/pricing.php contains most of the logic.
Thanks for your quick answer. I tried to migrate to EE4 which worked fine but I do get an error on the registration page. Will open a new topic for that issue.
