I am looking to move a client’s course registration system into event espresso and wordpress. The system needs to have stripe payment integration and an event calendar, so it looks like ee3 is the only option currently.

1) Will there be a migration path to ee4 once modules are out?

2) I also need to code some custom integration that will auto populate quickbooks online upon payment and successful course registration. Is there an easy place I could insert this via filters or hooks?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso

“it looks like ee3 is the only option currently.”

That’s correct for now.

1) Yes, EE4 already migrates EE3 data. The add on plugins will have migration scripts as necessary.

2) We have a Quickbooks payment gateway option where you can set up a Quickbooks merchant account to capture the actual payments, then it allows you to sync all your online transactions with your Quickbooks data:

EE3 does have a fair amount of hooks and filters available, though EE4 will most likely have more –
