EE3 Auth.net SIM replacement?

I’ve seen the EE4 Auth.net Accept module, but didn’t see one for EE3. Is one for EE3 in the works? We have a client using SIM and needing to update.

Hi Tyler,

There actually isn’t any new development going into EE3. Are they not able to continue to use Authnet SIM at this time? The reason I ask is because Authorize.net has not ended support for SIM just yet.

Hi Josh,

They’re starting to see hit and miss errors where they’re not getting transaction updates from Auth after a SIM sale. So, the sale is captured in Auth but EE still shows it as unpaid. With SIM being deprecated we thought this could be an artifact of that and had suggested upgrading to Accept since it wouldn’t have the same issues. Any other ideas?

SIM has always that issue, and that’s likely why they’ve moved forward with alternatives.

One thing that can help reduce timeouts when posting transaction data to your EE3 site from Authnet is load only what’s needed on the Thank You page. If you cannot upgrade to Event Espresso 4 and the EE4-compatible Authorize.net Accept gateway, you can use a simplified page design for the Thank You page. There’s a sample page template file you can download here:
https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/10333327
You can download the file, upload to your active WordPress theme, change the file name to be minimal.php. Then you go to edit your site’s Thank You page and change the page template setting to use the new minimal template.
