Using EE V5.0.20p & PHP 7.4.33 on our web site.
Have been alerted several times the web site needs to update PHP to more recent version ie +8.0.
Have tried on several occasions to update to most recent PHP and each time EE doesn’t function correctly, resulting in needing to roll back the version of PHP. (all other plugins worked fine and are compatible with PHP 8+)
Is EE compatible with PHP 8 ? (latest version now 8.3.9)

EE is compatible with PHP 8. We’re using it both in our test site and Development and everything is fine.
Before you update your php, you need to check also if its compatible with the PHP version. https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/references/php-compatibility-and-wordpress-versions/ I believe, 8.2 is best at the moment since 8.3 is still in Beta.
If there’s problem on using that version, please check for Theme/plugin conflict. Check the guide here.
