EE talking with other booking services

The company im developing for have one service for table booking, (not EE) and now the want EE for their event nights where they sell tickets (Standup, BBQ etc)

Is there some way to get the two services to “know” how many tables there are left?
The last solution would be to stop booking through the old service during those nights with events (my first proposal to the client), but it did not get a warm welcome…

What you could do if you wanted to use both is use the registration page on the other booking system as the Alternate Registration URL for that event. The event would appear on the calendar and in the event list, but when you clicked on it, you’d just get sent to the other site. Would that work?
