I have obtained Business License 1x:

Trying to use my license key for each blog (same domain!) I got the message:

You have the correct Site License Key for Event Espresso but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.

How does this goes together?

Background: I want to set up an ticketing service for different cities in Germany, but users must not have access to events, prices and other statistics from other cities different from their own. EE Roles and permission module do not provide those features (futhermore it would be too complicated to manage those permissions for each city).

A 5x-license would not cure this problem.

Thank you
Frank

Hi Frank,

Event Espresso wasnt designed for Multi Site set ups. The licence covers you for support and auto updates on a single site (per licence), so with Multi Site setups this is usually the main site, rather than sub sites.

There is nothing against you manually updating the sub sites, but we will only support the site with the licence, and auto updates will only occur on that site.

If users need to be registered in order to access events, you could look into a membership plugin such as S2Member or Members to restrict access.

Hi Dean,

ok, this is a very helpful hint!

Putting the license key on the main blog setting page would be the most suitable way!

Unfortunately I have put it already on a sub-site. Trying to move the license key to the main blog has been failed:

1) Change (deletion on the sub blog, and inserting into the main blog was not accepted, as I have seen on my account on eventespresso.com),

2) Request reset (via account) demands payment ….?

What can I do to move it correctly? May be you can help (doing this instead of me)?
🙂

Thank you,
Frank

Frank,

I have reset the licence key for you so you can move it over to the main site.

Great! License key is working on the main blog now. Hope, this was the solution.
I would appreciate it very much if you would not close this thread for the next 3 days, I will have enough experience then to say that it is all fine.

Thank you very much!
Frank
