I am using WordPress as my WP host. As part of this I can access my account through wordpress.com as well as my actual domain. When I access it through WordPress.com the Event Espresso menu link disappears.

The issue is the site defaults to WordPress.com if you access many of the default features, such as users. It also uses wordpress for the mobile app.

This is interesting, What is the other difference between accessing using with your domain and by using wordpress.com?

When you logged to WP.com is that the same log-in you use to access the EE on your Domain?

Thanks

That is the only difference I can see. It is a single login, if I go to my domain/wp-admin and log in, sometimes the domain changes to wordpress.com. Same when I select certain options in the menu. When I log in using the wordpress domain, it will stay wordpress unless I change the domain. I don’t have to authenticate again.

More than happy to get on a screenshare.

Can you go to your EE dashboard and go to Maintenance then click Reset Event Espresso Capabilities.
https://monosnap.com/file/HRN1OUdYSWZxi9U8wzmjAal0FOMuhT

then check if you can now see it in wordpress.com.

if it still did not work, can we do the following.
let’s do some test on the plugin/theme conflict. check the guide here.
https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/

You can use https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ or any similar plugin.

You can do the above using Troubleshooting mode:

Tools -> Site Health -> Troubleshooting -> Enabled Troubleshooting mode.

That will disable all plugins and switch to a default theme and then allow you to enable specific plugins troubleshooting mode. Check if you can now see the EE. Once Troubleshooting mode is disabled you will revert back to the current state.

thanks
