Hello! I am wanting to use the loginpress plugin and use their hide login feature. Will this affect the way I use the EE mobile app?

Hi there,

The app uses the WP REST API to communicate with your site, so it should be affected no.

However, the only way to know for sure here is to try it.

Awesome. I wanted to ask just in case of any known issues. I will try it and report back.

Well… super weird. The app worked fine for a few days, and just noticed that none of the admins can login in now. We get the infamous “Sorry, you are not allowed to list events. Missing permissions.”

I did read all of the previous post about the issue and non of the potential fixes apply to us. I do run Wordfence, but that has never blocked us. I added my ip to the LoginPress whitelist and still no luck.

Are there any changes on the server side?

Changed hosts? Updated PHP version?

Can you send me temp login details so I can log the requests sent to and from app and see if anything stands out there? If so use this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Also, please install the WP REST API log plugin on the site, as that will also provide more details on the requests to troubleshoot this. I can walk you through what to look for in those logs if we need them later.

Nothing has changed for server or php version. Just adding the LoginPress plugin which has the option to “hide” the traditional login url.

I have two websites on the same server with EE, and only this one is affected. At the end of the day, I would like to be able to use the app and hide the login url, but understand I may have to make a decision of which is more important. I would just like to use both.

Login info sent.

Didn’t even think of that. That was it. Thank you.
