For a while, Event Espresso was writing temp files of some sort into its plugin folder during normal operations, if I recall correctly. My WordPress host has security in place that doesn’t allow that behavior, so I’ve been aliasing the EE folder into the Uploads folder so it can write. Does anyone know if the latest versions of the plugin still write regularly to the plugin folder itself, or has that been offloaded to Uploads now?

Hi Chris,

I’m not aware of Event Espresso ever doing that. The one place where EE writes logs and temp files is within the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/ directory. For example there should be a batch_temp_folder in that location that’s written to when CSV reports are generated.
