How does one edit their tickets after registration? All of our tickets are ‘free’ so people should be able to login & switch tickets. How do they do that?

Also, I never received an email when I tried a test registration a few minutes ago.

Hello,

There isn’t currently a way to change tickets/events once you have registered. This will be a manual process that the event admin/site admin will have to do by deleting the registrant from the old event/ticket and registering them for the new one.

This could be due to the way your server sends out email. We recommend using a service like WP Mandrill (http://mandrillapp.com) to send emails from your site.

Damn, I was completely unclear on the changing registration question when I asked in a pre-sales Q. My fault there. If someone wants to change the registration how should we go about it? Also, since we have a required ticket as part of registration, we don’t want them to pay again.

As for the email, I need better support than that. WP normally sends out emails; it’s not working; we need to troubleshoot that and consider a paid external service as a last resort.

I saw that Mandrill is free for 12k sends so I used that to resolve the email, thanks for the suggestion. Still seeing how to handle re-registrations.

Hi, we receives questions on email issues from time to time so we created this page that explains how Event Espresso handles email notifications and it includes some solutions:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/

The main thing is that Event Espresso itself does not send out emails. Rather it uses a native function called wp_mail which then uses the local email server. If there are restrictions or issues on that local email server, then you’ll see unexpected issues.

On transferring registrations, you would need to cancel the registration and create a new one through the WP dashboard:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/manually-add-registrant-wordpress-dashboard/

Hello again,

Thanks for the kind words!

Could you let us know if a transactional email service fixed this issue?
