I have certain members setup to be able to edit and publish events. All of a sudden, they cannot access the edit pages. No settings have changed. They are getting a message “You do not have access to this route” ee_edit_events is granted. |

Hi there, We fixed this in the latest version. Are you using version 5.0.10.p of Event Espresso? |
I’m using 5.0.8. |
When you say this happened all of a sudden, when did this last work? |
It’s been a few weeks since the first person told me but now more people seem to have the problem. I guess I meant, I don’t think anything changed and it stopped working. |
5.0.8 introduced a change which caused issues with the capability checks for some setup, so it likely happened when you updated to that version. If you update to 5.0.10 it should fix it for you. |

Thanks! WP Engine is requiring me to update to PHP8.2 |
I run a couple of test sites within PHP8.2 and so far, no issues. The other members of the team also have sites running 8.2. Unfortunately, that doesn’t guarantee you wont have any, but with PHP8 compatibilities issues we address them as a high priority. |

Sorry, didn’t see this. I updated both! Still working great. Will open a separate ticket for a new issue I’m having. Thanks for the other info too! I’ll look into everything and let you know. |
You’re most welcome 🙂 I’ll keep an eye out for your new ticket. |
