WP v3.8.1

4.2.4 Personal:
EE4 Events Calendar v.3.0.0 reg
EE4 Core Regular v4.2.4 reg
Custom Templates Add-on v1.0
JSON API v2.1.1.P
Social Media v1.1.7
Events Calendar v2.2.3.p

This is a new installation.

https://www.behindtheshutter.com/shutterfest2015

Our event allowed guests to purchase up to 4 tickets and they can use one name for both tickets. We need the ability to change one of the guests’ names without it changing the other since we require photo IDs at check-in for the event (assuming this is happening because they are tied to the same transaction).

Any help?

Hi Sal,

This is because they are linked to that registrant.

You could cancel that registration and the use the add new registration button to create the new registrations with the updated name.

Also, these addons are for Event Espresso 3 (not version 4):

Custom Templates Add-on v1.0
JSON API v2.1.1.P
Social Media v1.1.7
Events Calendar v2.2.3.p

Hi Lorenzo,

So, is the only solution to cancel the registration? Is there a way of doing this without having to refund their payment?

Also, I’m not seeing the button to add new registration. Can you please help here?

Thanks!

Hi,

You won’t be able change the name so you would need new registrations.

Also, you actually don’t need to refund any payments. You’ll be creating the registrations for the same quantity of tickets, only this time the names can be different.

Registration x 3 for existing name
Registration x 1 for new name

Login to your WordPress admin, then go to Event Espresso –> Events. Hover over your event name and then click on Registrations.

This will take you to a new screen that shows current registrations for this event. At the top of the page, you see the Add New Registration button.

You can run a sample registration to see how it works.

Hi Lorenzo–

This is still very confusing for me.

Are you saying there is no way of correcting the duplicate names without canceling the tickets and re-registering the attendee manually?

Hello,

Those registrations are linked to a primary registrant so you would need to create new registrations and cancel the old ones.
