Hello,

I just wanted to check if the eCheck payment gateway for Authorizenet AIM is now available in EE4. Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Yes, we have the Authorize.Net AIM eCheck payment method add-on available here:

Awesome, Tony!

A few more questions:

Being that we have been using EE3 for several years now with little to no issues, would the upgrade to EE4 be a smooth transition being that we have some custom CSS on our current EE3 platform? Our biggest fear is that we will run into issues upon upgrading to EE4 which would prevent registrations.

Is an eCheck payment the same thing as an EFT payment?

Is there a fee per transaction?

If we currently use QuickBooks Merchant Services as our processor as it affords us the compatibility with QuickBooks, would we lose this option if we enable Authorize.Net AIM eCheck as a payment gateway?

Or can we use both gateways at the same time and the customer can choose to use AIM specifically for an eCheck payment?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

EE4 is a completely different system to EE3 so none of the modifications you’ve made on EE3 (CSS or otherwise) will not work with EE4.

We recommend creating a development copy of the site and updating there first to confirm everything works as expected before doing so on the live site and going into a panic if registrations no longer work (which is fairly rare but depends on so many factors its impossible to cover them all).

Our biggest fear is that we will run into issues upon upgrading to EE4 which would prevent registrations.

You can prevent that by doing the above so you already know of any issues you may run into.

I’m not sure what your asking here?

You can find details on Auth.net eCheck payments here: https://www.authorize.net/solutions/merchantsolutions/merchantservices/echeck/

Is there a fee per transaction?

You would need to check this with Auth.net as any fees will be from them.

The link above shows ‘Only 0.75% per e-check transaction. Additional fees may apply for chargebacks and monthly minimums.’

You can use both at the same time and the user can choose the payment method they wish to use.
