Within the email manager we can see the e-mail ‘Text’ (html code), but when we click on the ‘Visual’ tab. No html is rendered/displayed. If we debug we can see “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘Button’ of undefined wp-tinymce.php:2” We are using Event Espresso – 3.1.30.1P Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Matt, Do you have any plugins that affect the TinyMCE editor (the WordPress editor?) use as TinyMCE Advanced, Ultimate TinyMCE etc etc? If so please try disabling it and testing again. We find a lot of these plugins mess with the core functionality of the editor and can cause problems as we just use the default version. |
I disabled each of the few plugins we have one by one, retested, still no luck. Here is the specific js error: TypeError: Cannot read property ‘Button’ of undefined [http://www.studentsports.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php?c=1&ver=358-23224:2] |

Hi Matt, OK, well this has been seen once before on the EE forums, but no resolution and theres not much out in the wilds of Google about it either. Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this? If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ NOTE: login details need to be Admin level. |
Dean, login details have been sent as requested. Thank you for your help!!!! |

Hi Matt, OK, the short answer is that the conflict is due to your theme, it creates extra buttons for the editor section which doesn’t work with Event Espresso. The longer answer is that this bugged me, so I spent my lunch time trying to get it to work to no avail. The only quick fix for this is to change theme or remove the functions adding the buttons. I will ask a developer to look into this in more detail in due course. |
