I need to populate the options for a dropdown on the registration form dynamically. I have code written that changes the options presented to the user but then it fails validation because EE wants it to be something you put in the list when you set up the question. I saw in another ticket this feature was being developed and you hoped to have it out Q2 or Q3 of 2021. Do you know when it’s coming? I can use a text field instead to get around the validation issue but then I’m relying on the user to type the answer in correctly and/or writing my own validation code. If it’s not going to be released soon and I do the custom coding, will it just take the selected value and write it to the registration as text or will some other cross-check along the way goof it up? I wasn’t sure if answers are always stored/retrieved as plain text or through ids.
