(last one today, I promise. This is probably only funny to Josh who has been amazing)
I have two drop down select menus.
The options for the menu show both the key and value of each option.
Put another way, the drop down has one option with the Description in EE, “I want to improve my skills” that is meant for humans visiting the site.
The same option has the Value in EE, “IMPROVE_SKILLS” is meant to be sent to our database.
But when I visit the registration form and click the drop down, it takes the format of [Value space dash space Description] like the following text: “IMPROVE_SKILLS – I want to improve my skills”
It’s happening to two different drop downs so pretty sure I did something not that smart…
May I ask what’s your question about this, or are you leaving a comment? It sounds like the form is showing what’s expected: The question’s answer value followed by the answer’s description. The description field is optional so if you would prefer not to display a description you can leave that field blank.
How to have it only have the English description and not values intended for ‘CGI’.
I desire a drop down menu option that reads “I want to improve my skills”. Our database should receive “IMPROVE_SKILLS” and the public should not see that value.
How do I do that, please? (also a dumb question, do I just reply from my email box or is it better for you guys that I reply using the forum response form? Not that I’m planning a million more questions, just wanted to do it the right i guess.)
If you reply via email, we will not get your reply (I believe the forum notifications have a Reply to: address that goes to noreply @ this domain). So please reply by adding a reply here.
