Currently when one goes through buying tickets a modal appears with text something like “Your purchase is being processed. Please do not leave this page” along with a spinning cog (loading).
That’s great. However the modals behaviour is to disappear as soon as the user interacts in any way with the page (clicks somewhere for example). Now they’re left with just the black spinning cog that’s not entirely easy to see. For the less tech-savvy people out there they assume that when the text telling them to remain on the page disappears the purchase is done. thus resulting in them leaving the page too soon and a purchase is aborted.
I understand that the modals behaviour is like that due to you’re using the same code for it as for any other modal on EE but it should really remain until the page actually reloads! I’d greatly appreciate if you could take a few minutes to fix this as I’m sure others have customers not going through their payment as well due to this.. not a fun way to loose income on such a trivial thing.
Hi Jonathan, I posted a video to the ticket that Dean created for our development team.
It appears that some payment processors are a bit slower than others and I could see this happening more often when payments are slow to process.
