and thought I would share what we do (EE4). We have a couple extra ticket types that include a specified donation. For example ‘1 adult ticket and $10 donation’. this way we can still track tickets as purchased but there is an option for the user to add a donation to our non profit at the same time. At one event these tickets accidentally were set to sell for 12 hours after all other ticket sales closed. Those patrons that wanted last minute tickets gave us many generous donations 😉
Hi there Crispi, thanks for sharing your setup. That is also how I would set it up as well since you can set a start date and end date for each ticket option via the ticket selector in the event editor.
