We currently have a free option and a $5 donation option for registration for our events. Is this a way to add a donation to the event, where the attendee fills out the donation amount, similar to this link?

Hi there,
This isn’t something we currently have available within Event Espresso.
We’ve seen other users use a 3rd party add-on for a workaround, in short, the add-on allows questions on the registration form to have a ‘value’ that is added to the transaction so the user can select various amounts within the registration form.

Then currnetly the only option with EE itself is to use a other ticket type, which it sounds like you already use.
