Does adding additional times to your event the same as duplicating your event and changing the time? I am setting up classes with maximum students on each class. I have 3 classes in a row one of the days and I want to setup 3 classes with 3 different times. When I add an additional time slot does that effectively create another event with another set of maximum students? Or is the max students that you set on the event cover the entire event?

Hi Chris,

Changing parts of one event does not duplicate the event, it just edits that one.

The max registration count is for the event as a whole. If you need to have set numbers per time slot then there are two options:

1) Use the “Use registration limits on time slots?” feature in the General Settings. This is experimental so use at your own risk. This will allow you to set attendee limits per time slot. You need to remember to change the max attendee limit to the combined amount e.g. 3 time slots, 5 people per time slot, max registration limit must be 15 – if you leave it blank/unlimited then people can still register even though the time slots are taken.

2) Create individual events for each time slot

Thank You Dean. For now, I’m just creating individual events for each slot, but good to know about the new feature.
