If I understand you correctly, you would like to show a category of events on a certain page?
You can do that in Event Espresso.
1) Make sure that at least one event has been added to an event category through the event editor. This is in the right area of the event editor and be sure to save changes. Then add other events as needed by updating them in the event editor.
2) You can use this shortcode to show events from a certain category. Lets say that your event category was called “Spring Events” — this would be the parameter that you could add to a WordPress page from your WordPress dashboard (WP-admin):
I tried what you suggested already. The thing is that it displays all the information about an event -Dates, times, text, venue, picture, etc. etc.
I just want to display the date that is a link to the full information.
The thing is, we have 60 events under the categories and I want to display them all on a page so that people can drill down to select what suits them.
For example…
Bricklaying Courses:
Sat 10th March 2018
Fri 21st March 2018
Tue 15th April 2018
Carpentry Courses:
Sat 21st June 2018
Sat 2nd Sept 2018
And so forth for all 60 events that we are currently advertising. Then by clicking on an date they get another page or it accordians to show all the details.
The accordion effects would need to be custom developed. Otherwise, you can go to Event Espresso > Events > Templates, and change all the display settings under “Event Listings” to not display the items like datetimes and so on.
