Hi guys,

We’ve got a conference coming up and are using EE to populate our calendar, using agenda view. It’s working pretty well.

One of the challenges, is that we have four concurrent tracks — each one tagged with it’s own category. Our hope is that things would display with all of the category #1 events in the first column, all of the category #2 events in the second column, etc. but it doesn’t. I think it displays events in the order they were created.

Take a look at http://www.firstladyofburlesque.com/wordpress/sunday-conference/

Ideally, I’d have a column of pale blue, a column of green, a column of black on white, etc. What I’ve got is kind of a crazy quilt.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey Scratch,

I don’t believe there is a way to do that with the default calendar. What we have is based on FullCalendar.

Now what you are after has been done (discussion here)by someone who has forked the FullCalendar and changed it, see here, but you would need to incorporate it. I haven’t tested it yet so it may not be ideal but it looks like what you need.

I will be having a closer look at this at some point to see if this fork is something we can use or not.

As an alternative you could use a table based layout but that would make it hard to swap between days.
