Hi
I would like to have a discount on some events but have the original price displayed too, maybe with strike-through. The idea is that people see that it0s a discount (without having to use a coupon code) and see the old price.

Hi Arto,
That’s not something we currently have available within EE and so would require custom development.
You could use a promotion with a promotion code set – http://take.ms/6bFTl
That will then apply the promotion on checkout for any event it applies to without the need to add a promotion code, however again to display that in the ticket selector similar to the above will require custom development from a developer.
If you are not currently working with a developer we have some that are familiar with Event Espresso here:

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to use the promotion code set like you described.
Now I have these problems/questions:
1. In the event list, it still displays the old price
2. I would like to rename the ticket name (I could simply mention old price there)
Old price in event list
I added a promotion to the ticket, like you described. But it doesn’t show on the event list:
The old price (in this example) was 890.00, the new price 690.00.
Here the price is displayed correctly:
Ticket name
It seems the ticket name is created from the event name and then the venue in brackets. If I edit the ticket name in EE, then it changes in the shopping cart but not on the single events page.

How are you outputting the event details/list there? It looks like a modified version of the table view template to me but I can’t be sure.
Ticket name
It seems the ticket name is created from the event name and then the venue in brackets. If I edit the ticket name in EE, then it changes in the shopping cart but not on the single events page.
By default, ticket name is not created from the event name in the ticket selector. this is an example from a test site – http://take.ms/heBEr
Ticket name should be ticket directly from – http://take.ms/91oRk
The ‘status’ column is also not included by default, so it looks like you are using a custom ticket selector template and generating your own output.
