We applied a discount code that resulted in a negative ticket price ( accounting). Question:
If a discount code has an absolute value that is higher than the ticket value, will that result in the accounting part of EE in e negative ticket end price, or should it cut off the price at 0, regardless the difference?

It should be zero. Can you give us screenshot of what happen or you can use loom.https://loom.com/
Can you also send us the URL and also the discount code i can use to recreate the issue.
Before doing some test, update your EE to .20
