We have an event where there is a 200 seat limit. There are also two ticket options. If they buy 1 ticket its $30 but if they buy 2 (for couples) its $50. We were just going to offer two price options 1 priced at $30 and the other at $50 but EE wouldn’t read the $50 option as two tickets and we would risk overselling.

Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

Hi there,

You can set your ‘couple’ ticket with a minimum and maximum ticket qty of 2 and then set the price as $25, like this – https://monosnap.com/file/YTWJcgpEVKpaXIPFPmXfnGmJlfByXq

The ticket selector will show you like this – https://monosnap.com/file/7v2thZZdDMOTCRIvPWJjWQUfdAqepI

As both tickets are assigned to the same datetime, you set the limit of 200 on the datetime and you can only sell a combination of 200 of either of those 2 ticket types.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply! It looks like your screenshots are for EE4. We have EE3

Ah, I saw your last thread on your account and assumed you’d updated.

With EE3 you could use the volume discount add-on:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/volume-discount-add-on/

Which is available on the pre-release channel (Looks like you’ve already signed up to it):

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/pre-release-channel-guide/

That add-on can then be used to automatically add a discount if they select 2 or more tickets, would that work for you?
