Hi there,

So currently there are 3 ways to ‘discount’ a price already set.

#1 – Apply a payment to the transaction (which will mean the full amount of the transaction will show as paid and based on the above I assume that won’t work for you but I’m covering all here)

#2 – Apply a promotion to the registration which then discounts the price down for the user to pay. That can be done within the admin and will bring the price down to the ‘correct’ value to be paid.

However, there is currently a bug in the display of the above which we are aware of and are working on a fix. The above screenshot should show the promotion applied to the transaction in the admin but it does not. It shows up on the Invoice/Receipts.

#3 – create a new ticket on the event with the discounted price (set to so it only loads for admins) and then use the attendee mover add-on to ‘move’ the registration to the new ticket.

Applying a promotion is likely the easiest of the 3, it just means you’ll need to create promotions you can can apply to the events as/when needed.

It’s tricky because it relates to how line_items are applied, we are currently changing how tax line_tems work and then will move onto promotions (which in turn should fix that display issue).

So right now I can’t give you an eta but it is something we are working towards.
