Discount/Promotional Codes Not working

Hi,

When we are creating a promo code for events and then try to apply them, we get the following message:

> Sorry, promotional code 10off is either invalid, expired, or
> can not be used for the event(s) you are applying it to.

The event has Allow Discount Codes set to YES.

I’m also not sure how it would say a code is expired because I don’t see anywhere to define quantity, expiration date or any other parameter other than amount and percentage or not percentage.

Now when I want and tried to change the code and click update, I briefly saw this error message:

Hi there,

In addition to setting the event to allow discount codes, the codes you would like to allow need to be checked. There are check boxes next to each promo code in the system.

When you tried to edit the promo code, which field did you try to change? Were you logged in with the user account that created the promo code?

So first, not all codes appear where you have the check boxes. why do I need to be in the same account as the one who created it? we are both admins

also, i didn’t try to edit any fields, i just click edit and then update, just to see if it will fix the problem, then i saw the error.

If you don’t edit the promo code, it’s expected to get that error. In order to edit a promo code, something needs to be changed.

The roles and permissions add-on has a feature that makes it so each admin can have their own set of promo codes to manage. That’s why not all codes will appear if you’re logged into an account that didn’t create the codes.

I couldn’t find where to disable this option for individual promo codes

Hi there,

It’s not an option, it’s a feature of the Roles and Permission add-on. If you disable the R&P add-on, the feature will be disabled.

But i need roles and permissions. can’t i just turn off/disable that feature?

Hi there,

It’s a feature that is integrated into the way R&P works. It’s not a feature that can be disabled or turned off.
