Discount for online prepayment

We want to be able to offer a discount to customers who opt to prepay for the event online using one of the credit card methods like Paypal. If they pay with Paypal prior to the event they may get a $5 discount, vs someone who want to pay for it at the gate.

Without creating separate earlier bird tickets or anything like that is there a way to apply a discount based on payment method. I know we can’t charge more for using Paypal because of their TOS, but what about less?
