Different payment methods for different events not working

I have gone through the steps at https://eventespresso.com/wiki/payment-methods-pro-add-on/ and un-checked my payment methods from “Front-end Registration Page”. I have added the custom field of “include_payment_method” with the exact name of my payment method. I have also added another custom field try another one. In both cases these payment types end up not showing up at all for the end-user during registration. I am running version 4.9.0.p and the Advanced Payment Methods Pro add-on.
