I just started working on a Dev site and this is the notification-message on the back-end:
“Your support license key is only valid for one domain at a time, and our licensing system has detected that you are using your license key on multiple domains. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys, or if you have concerns, please Contact Us.”
What’s the corrective action for this?
Do you have the key set on the live and dev site?
If so remove the key from Event Espresso -> General Settings on the Dev site.
Then, on your account page, click request reset next to your key.
Once your reset has been processed (you’ll receive an email once processed) dismiss the notice.
When I do the reset and get the new key, which site do I use it in?
Do I update the live site with the new key?
What do I do with the Dev site’s key then?
Would you please elaborate on this?

You don’t actually get a new key, you are resetting the current one so it’s still the same key. The reset removes the domain assigned to the key and re-assigns the key the next time your site pings our license server.
The license key gives you access to support and updates for a single site, so use the key on your live site and update the dev site manually.
Remove the key from the dev site, EE will continue to work as normal without the key.
