We have an event with multiple date times, since the event has multiple date times it is supposed to show when we use the short code for upcoming events. We are running into the issue of previous dates being shown in the short code. We thought that deleting old date times would solve our issue. But we found out that we cannot delete old date times because people have purchased tickets. Is there a way around this? |
Hi Jason! Can you try deleting the transactions and registrations from the date times you are trying to delete? Then you should be able to delete the datetimes and they not appear in the shortcode output. |

We have hundreds of registrations and transactions for those date times…that would take a long time. |
Hi Jason, you should be able to inspect the date time and see the CSS ID that is in use. Then you could attach this to display:none so its no longer visible. http://cl.ly/image/1Y2N1522322E — |

OK, I think I see the issue. On the event list (your front page), the event is listed as June 5th, but once clicked it shows July 17th/August 21st. Can you provide a screenshot of the datetimes and tickets when editing that event please? |

Here is the screenshot of the date times and tickets. |
Hi, please go ahead and change the passwords if you haven’t already done so. Could you provide a link to the event page and what is the name of the event along with the datetime that needs to be hidden? — |

http://lauritawinery.com/events/country-line-dance-3/ The date time that needs to be hidden is from 6/5…that doesnt show on the event page but only on the homepage via the short code. |

Hi, Thanks for that. OK so my idea of just unhooking the datetime for the ticket is probably not going to work. Can I ask, have the events on the front page been added via a custom template? Shortcode? |

Hi Jason, I’m not sure if we have been clear but that datetime can’t be deleted if it already has information linked to it. However, it may be possible to hide it using CSS. We’ll need to see the datetime on the page that its on. You mentioned that its not on the single event page but on the home page. Could you provide a screenshot of what it looks like on the home page? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots Thanks — |

Hi Jason, Sorry to change things here, but I’ve been looking at the code on your site versus the code in EE, and it looks like you are using a specific template tag, that outputs the code in a calendar format – to my knowledge none of the shortcodes use this particular template tag so I have to assume it’s been added directly somehow. Anyway, the way the template tag is built means that currently it isn’t possible to remove the date via CSS or easily added code. I’ll raise a developer ticket to look at this to see if a filter or something can be added to avoid this issue in a future release. |

Thank you Dean. Please keep me updated. And just to double check, there is nothing I can do about this? |
Hi Jason, we’ll update this support post once we have more information. We aren’t aware of any workarounds at this time so we’ll monitor the enhancement request and let you know. — |
