We recently have a customer who registered and paid for class 806 in February. They logged into our site and tried to register for 807 in April.. saw the old 806 ticket, deleted it and somehow “registered” for 807 , showing her a $0 balance. In Infusionsoft, there was the February invoice that now had BOTH events on it (806 & 807).. one showing unpaid. But her receipt that EE4 sent her showed a $0 balance. Not sure how EE4 did this.. but figured I should let somebody know in case this is happening to others. What information would you need to figure out this strange issue? – Freddys |
Hi Freddys, We’re they give administrative privileges? The reason I ask is because normally they shouldn’t be able to delete a ticket unless something has been customized. |

They were not given administrative privileges. Maybe its not the best for me to say they deleted a ticket.. but somehow, they were able to “erase” the 806 from their profile. I can’t see that past event. I am still confused as to how they ended up with the event on a invoice and that let it use the payment from February.. very odd. I can email or post that invoice if it helps… No customizations that I am aware of that would allow this either. |
Hi Freddys, Were these two events that were originally copies of each other, like the other ones you had trouble with before? |
No, it was not a copy in this scenario. The staff used to copy events if there on the same date because it saved them from having to calculate the different ticket times for early-bird tickets, etc. |
Hi Freddys, I took some time to check into this and can confirm that while they cannot delete their prior registrations, they can edit their registration info by clicking on the edit link next to a registration. If they change the email address there it will remove the registration from their profile. If you can pull up the list of registrations for the 806 event, are there any missing registrations? |
The person is not listed in 806 (past class) anymore as having had a regisration.. when at one point they did. They are still listed for 807 though. So you think they changed their email address and that messed it up maybe? |
I know that if they had changed the email address and other information via the edit link it will have changed the registration info. Are you able to determine if there any missing registrations for that event? |
Yes, her registration is missing from 806 now. |
Was it replaced by another registration or is there one fewer registration for that event now? |
I can’t really tell clearly, but it seems like the registration is just gone. |
Can you cross-check the transactions for that event? You can check the transactions for the eventby going to Event Espresso > Transactions and use the search field. |

I searched by name and only found their registration for 807. The 806 registration seems to be gone. |
Yeah I didn’t think you’d find it by their name in the registrations table, since that would have changed if they edited the contact information from that link. There will still be a transaction entry for the 806 registrations though. (Transactions cannot be deleted). Can you look in the Event Espresso > Transactions page and look at the transactions for the 806 event? |
