Dear Support,

I need help with the event which is now live and is happening on the 20th October 2016.

  • by mistake I have deleted the WP account of one attendee, on EE the attendee still there how can I create a WP account from the EE record in order bring it back how it was?
  • the discount code label for whatever reason is not showing, the text seems to be deleted by some script, can you guys fix this?
  • when attendees try to purchase their ticket they still have errors thrown at them which doesn’t allow them to continue, when I help them with the registration and after have them log-in, the registration is completed almost without issues, please help.
  • for whatever reason I am unable to view the event on my iphone and keep telling me that there is the following error: Sorry, you are not allowed to list events. Missing permissions: EE read event, EE read other events, EE read private events

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy,

by mistake I have deleted the WP account of one attendee, on EE the attendee still there how can I create a WP account from the EE record in order bring it back how it was?

Do you know the User ID or the EE attendee ID of the user that was deleted? We’ll need that information in order to bring things back to how it was.

when attendees try to purchase their ticket they still have errors thrown at them which doesn’t allow them to continue, when I help them with the registration and after have them log-in, the registration is completed almost without issues, please help.

Do you know the exact error message that they see? We’ll need that information in order to investigate further.

Can you also re-send the redeem a support token form and this time include full admin access to the WordPress site? The account that you set up for us doesn’t allow access to Event Espresso or any other WordPress settings. Along with that, please add the United States and the UK to your Geo block whitelist to allow us to do what we need to do.

Hi Josh,

with a touch of luck I have the user that I deleted on the demo site if that helps, as i mentioned on event espresso the user still there, so hopefully there is both ID’s, I have opened a support ticket for this matter, since to me is a matter of urgency.

Hi Josh,

I have turned off the geo plugin and updated Tony Warwick account to Administrator, do I still need to re-send the redeem support token?

Yeah we have the support ticket, but we’re unable to do anything to your site until you can give us full admin access.

Can you let us know the ID?

No, that’s not all we need, we also need full admin access to your site -and- you will need to whitelist the United States and the UK in the GEO IP blocker plugin settings. Please update this thread to let us know when that’s done.

by mistake I have deleted the WP account of one attendee, on EE the attendee still there how can I create a WP account from the EE record in order bring it back how it was?

Their new user ID is 533.

the discount code label for whatever reason is not showing, the text seems to be deleted by some script, can you guys fix this?

Here’s what the discount code label looks like now. If you run into problems with it again, you can go to Event Espresso > Promotions > Settings and re-save the settings.

when attendees try to purchase their ticket they still have errors thrown at them which doesn’t allow them to continue, when I help them with the registration and after have them log-in, the registration is completed almost without issues, please help.

I’m not seeing any errors when I make a registration. I did change the wp-config.php file and set WP_DEBUG to false. WP_DEBUG should only be set to true while doing development and/or testing. If anyone else reports an error, can you get the actual error message and update this thread?

for whatever reason I am unable to view the event on my iphone and keep telling me that there is the following error: Sorry, you are not allowed to list events. Missing permissions: EE read event, EE read other events, EE read private events

That’s been fixed with the .htaccess file edit outlined in our documentation:

HI Josh,

for whatever reason the htaccess file keeps on changing back to this RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L] do you know if there is a way to make that stop?

it seems to me that every time that a plugin gets updated that is what happens, could it be because of a script or plugin?

Regards

Andy

Hi Again Josh,

I have done a search on google about the issue I have and by all account is to do with this RewriteRule ^index\.php$ [L] being between this # BEGIN WordPress adn # END WordPress according to this article on stackoverflow the issue should stop if the rule is written either before or after the WP comments, since I am not an htaccess expert can you advise at this regard?

Regards

Andy

The stack exchange thread that you linked to had an answer that said WordPress wouldn’t be what’s changing the modified .htaccess rules, but another plugin might be. So the way to make that stop would be to find the plugin that’s making that edit and either disabling its setting that allows editing the .htaccess file, or disable the plugin.
