Delete transactions

How do I delete transactions? I have a ton of test transactions and registrations that I need to clear out of the system. I cannot reset the EE tables because I also have a ton of events set up.

If there’s no payment, then you trash then permanently delete the registration. The related transaction will automatically be deleted when the related registration is deleted. (If there is more than one registration related to one transaction, you’ll need to delete all registrations for that transaction)

If there are payments, those need to be deleted first before you can delete the registrations. The other topic you linked to has information about how to delete a payment within a transaction.

Hey Josh, thanks for all your help. I know I’ve been asking for a lot!

There are payments, and I did follow the steps in that link. I cannot find the option to delete payments for the life of me.

You delete the payments within registration’s individual transaction.

Has screenshots that show exactly how to remove the payments.

Click on the Registration in Event Espresso -> Registrations to edit it, click the ‘View Transaction’ button (or, as shown in the screenshots, you click on the TXN Date in the registration list to skip a step).

Then click on the trash icon next to each payment within a transaction to remove it.

Repeat for each registration.

Hi Tony, I see what my problem was. The first several transactions that I looked at did not have payments so I wasn’t seeing that section. Thanks for clarifying.

Upon deleting the payments and registrations, I am still seeing transactions in the system. Oddly the counts on the transactions is 0 but there are still transactions on the list. I’ve confirmed that cache is disabled and I have cleared my browser cache.

Can you add a screenshot fo your Event Espresso -> Registratinons and Event Espresso -> Transactions views please.

It’d be helpful to be able to compare the Event Espresso > Registrations screen as well. Please be sure to check the “Incomplete” view within the Event Espresso > Registrations page.
