Hi,

A couple of weeks ago we renamed the domain name of the site. Everything was working fine, except EE. Our payment settings page was generating a error 500. Tried several twingos, no succes.

Now I deleted the plugin by FTP and deleted the EE tables in the db. There were also some rows in the wp-options table, also deleted.

But, reinstalled the latest version, and all the settings are back, also the error. How can I reinstall EE for a fresh install like it was there never before.

Can you advise me?

Kind regards,

URL: http://www.reflex-tin.nl, was before http://www.reflexologisch.nl

You might have missed a few settings in the wp_options table. You can try doing a few search queries to find them. A few examples:

You could also do a search through the database for the old domain and if applicable, the old domain’s file paths if the paths changed as that may also be causing issues.

Hi Josh,

Thank you for the information. Event Espresso is now asking to be configured, so that seems to be fine. Only, when I click on Payment Settings, I get the first error where everything started with. Error 500 with the old domain name. Can you give me a SQL query where I can search with for the old site? The name was reflexologisch.nl.

Kind regards,

Josh

You can use the same queries as above, but replace where it says events with your old domain.

It has no results but, the error 500 on the payment page is still there.

You can check the server’s error logs to find what’s causing the 500 error on the payment page.

In addition, you may consider moving the server to an Apache install. We advise not to run Event Espresso on an IIS server:
