  1. they paid when they signed up so why would it send a bill

Try removing the [invoice_link] from the emails that get sent out.

Which method are you using to compose the emails? In Event Espresso 3.1, there are 3 options:

1) On the general settings page, under mail settings, for a globally set email
2) In the event editor, for event specific emails
3) In the email manager, for re-usable custom emails

If you didn’t set anything up, it’s most likely using the default emails from the general settings screen. Check those for an invoice link.

i looked at all three places you mentioned
the event overview had a blank email
the email manager was empty
and the general settings has two default emails neither of them had the wording of the email that is sent w/ the invoice link
1. Payment Confirmation Email:
2.Default Registration Confirmation Email:

Can you verify that this email is the one that is sent to the registrant? The email that is sent to the admin will automatically have an invoice link. The invoice link shortcode would need to be in the contents of the registration confirmation email in order for the attendee to get a link to download the invoice. The shortcode will look something like this:
enter image description here

lets work on getting the address correct
the invoice i receive has the company name but the address is the default 123 West Somewhere Some City,AZ United States 84128

i changed it to our address along time ago but it still comes this way
is there another location i can change it

In the invoice payment settings box on the Event Espresso>Payments screen.

Are the registrants receiving an invoice link, or only the admin?
