Default emails not sending

Hi,

Event Espresso – 3.1.36.6.P WP Version 4.1

We moved our server recently and all appeared to go according to plan.

However, at some stage we started getting feedback that people were not receiving emails following registration and/or payment.

I’ve checked through and all seems to be fine, but I must be missing something.

I’ve checked the forums but not much on this other than what I’ve already done.

I have just changed the “Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?” to “Yes”.

Hi, this depends on a native WP function called wp_mail. If there are restrictions on the local mail server, then you’ll run into problems with emails going out.

Please try setting up a transactional email service like Mandrill or Postmark app:

This is done in two steps. First register for one of the services. This will provide you with a set of credentials.

Then install, activate, and add your credentials to the plugin for the service.

That should correct this issue and they are also helpful for quick email delivery and reducing the emails that arrive in the SPAM / Junk mail folder.

Thanks Lorenzo.

Since we use MailChimp I guess Mandrill is the obvious one for us.

Except that it has not been tested with WP4.1

You should be ok with it, even though it isn’t tested with 4.1. If there are issues you could try postmarkapp.
