Dedicated Event Manager for each event

I would like to have dedicated event managers who can manage their own events, but (see) nothing else.

They could log into the backend and can only see their own events, transactions, contact list regarding their events.

My first thought would be to create a role for these kind of users that has the permission to only read, edit delete their own events.

Is that the right approach or do you recommend anything else?

Hi there,

That is the correct approach for this and we have an example plugin that adds the ‘Event Organizer’ (should only have access to their own events) and ‘Events Manager’ roles (has full access to EE but not other sections of WP).

Take a look here: http://take.ms/WcoqG

Set the user as the ‘Event Manager’ role (add copy the capabilities to your won role) and set the user as the Event Author.

Is that what you are looking for?

Great, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
