# Datetimes for logged in user

Just wanting to clarify ‘# Datetimes’ field inside Ticket Details.
Is # Datetimes controlling the amount of times the logged in user can actually purchase this ticket?

Say, I have ‘Gold’ members and I only want them to be able to buy 2 tickets @ 50% off…and don’t want them to come back the next day to purchase 2 more tickets @ 50% off…it’s a one time shot/purchase opportunity tied to the membership of being ‘Gold’. Would I be filling in the following under ‘Ticket Details’:
# Datetimes >> 1
Minimum Quantity >> 0
Maximum Quantity >> 2

…please advise…thank you!

Hi there,

No, that’s not what that value it for.

Say you had a ticket that was assigned to 5 datetimes as a day pass, but the tickets actually give access to 3 of any of those datetimes, you can set 3 in that field and the user can only check in to any 3 of the datetimes assigned.

Currently, EE does not restrict users from purchasing a ticket multiple times so you can’t setup what you are trying to do without custom development.

Thanks Tony…what about an option to limit a Gold member only 2 tickets at discounted rate in current session? They would still be able to do another purchase that day for another 2, but just controlling ticket number drop-down to only allow 0,1,2 as choices.

Can we do that?

If I understand correctly, you’d just set the ‘Maximum Quantity’ value you mentioned above to 2. (You don’t need a min qty of 0 as that is always the min qty)

The user can then only purchase a maximum of 2 of that specific ticket in a single session.

Is that what you need?
