The event needs at least one datetime, that’s the date and time the event starts and finishes. You can optionally add more datetimes. For example if the event is over a 3 day timespan, you could add 2 additional datetimes.
The option to set number of datetimes is for the purpose of giving limited access to datetimes for a ticket. With that same example of a 3 day event, you could restrict a ticket to allow access to only 2 of the 3 dates.
I have a 5 week (Monday nights only) training course.
I have one price for sessions 1 through 5 and a cheaper price for sessions 1 and 2 only.
Should I create 5 dateTimes even though paying the full price entitles attendee to all 5 sessions? So that I could associate ONLY dateTime 1 and 2 to the discounted price?
I’m just wondering how confusing that would look on the front end at purchase time (for the normal, full price person).
Creating 5 datetimes would make sense. This way each date will be shown so it’s clear when the course occurs.
Then you’ll only need to create two tickets: 1 ticket that gives access to all 5 datetimes, then another ticket for datetimes 1&2. It should not be confusing to select between the two options if the ticket names are clearly labeled to show they’re good for 2 or all 5 datetimes.
