Did you also try to check if there’s any plugin conflict? disable other plugin you have and check if the EE plugin will work perfectly. You can also do this by installing a plugin called “health check & troubleshooting”, this plugin will allows you to troubleshoot and have a clean WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user until you disable it or log out.
One more detail… this is happening in the legacy editor. Our client wants nothing to do with your new editor.
If we type something in the datetime description box and save the event draft, the page refreshes after the save and there is nothing in the datetime description box. We don’t need to record a video to show this.
Additionally, if we manually add the datetime description directly into the database, it shows on the website until we edit the event. Saving the event once again erases the field.
I entered troubleshooting mode with all plugins disabled except for EE. Same exact results. Won’t save the datetime description.
I can reproduce this and have created a ticket to fix it in the next version of Event Espresso.
We have the next version scheduled for release on Monday.
