I’d like to do more than just make some of our registration fields required. Specifically, I’d like to make sure dates are in the mm/dd/yyyy format, and phone numbers are in ###-###-#### format. I’m sure jQuery has the smarts to do it. We are currently using 3.1.22.2. Does the latest version of EE have more specific form validation?
If not, how could I add those restrictions to my registration forms?

Hi,
Event Espresso doesnt specifically validate dates and phone numbers due to the international nature of our product.
I would say that a small plugin or modification to ours using jquery would resolve the issue though.
I have used this jquery plugin (not a WordPRess plugin!!) in the past with success, https://github.com/jzaefferer/jquery-validation though there are other jquery plugins that offer similar functionality.
