Database issue?

Hi,

First off, this issue is resolved (for now) as I was forced to restore my database from a few hours earlier but I want to know why the problem happened in the first place.

I got an error saying that “there were errors creating the Event Espresso database tables and event espresso has been deactivated. WordPress database error:[Unknown storage engine ‘InnoDB’]

I have checked the database user accounts and it does have all permissions including read/write.

Hello,

If you have not updated in some time and then moved to the current release, then Event Espresso will make a change in the database.

InnoDB is a type of storage engine. MyISAM is an example of another.

Are you using any WP plugins that may lock down the database (e.g. a security plugin)?

Hello,

A developer saw your post this morning and shared more feedback. Event Espresso will use the InnoDB to create its tables in your WP database.

The error indicates that it was not available at that time and so the error appeared.
