Looking to clear all test entries before going live.
Receiving the following errors when attempting to access transactions for deleting. Followed the advice based on this thread https://eventespresso.com/topic/clearing-event-registration-and-deleting-tickets-in-ee4/

Event Espresso – Registrations
An error has occurred:
Something went wrong, and the status was not changed
I can provide direct access, I do have a support token and premium account. Will you be able to clear the data (any entries you will see are just test tickets/registrations/payments)
If I had done bit more research, I would not have tested so many times and with different edit before deleting each test before starting a new one.

Hi Allan,

Can you provide further details on what you have done, the link mentioned deleting tickets through the database (NOT recommended)

So have you manually removed tickets from the database but there are still registrations that were assigned to those tickets?

We have options to reset Event Espresso back to default but it also includes all EE data, events, options, messages etc. It will be reset to how it was when you first installed EE.

I’ve used the duplicate event function to just create a new event with all the same options as the first. That should copy all the ticket options, questions, custom formatting applied to the original, correct?
If I delete the old event, will the registrations associated with those be deleted? Essentially I am trying to declutter the site.
If it helps I can create a temporary ADMIN User access.

Hi there,

If the data from the first event is still intact.

You’ll need to remove the payments if there are any attached to transactions int the database before you delete the registrations and events.

If I delete the old event, will the registrations associated with those be deleted?

No, Event Espresso does not delete any data unless explicitly requested. Payments, Transactions and Registrations (along with most other objects in EE) need to be individually deleted.

To remove the data we need to know what (if anything) you have done manually within the database.

For example, if you have manually removed tickets from the database and registrations are still assigned to those ticket it breaks the relationship between the two and causes further problems.
