Is it possible to only show the events in a sudden state? Preferably by adding such an option to shortcodes.

Hi Is it possible for you to explain your question in a little more detail please? I am not quite sure what you mean by “show the events in a sudden state” or the reference to locales in the thread title. |
|
Hi Dean, First of all: I did not put the reference to locales above this topic… No idea where that came from. I would like to make a event_list that shows the combination of more than one venue. This list should than contain all events taking place in a state. Is there a way I can achieve this? |

I am looking for something like this actually: |

Hi, OK, yeah I thought the title might have been in error (probably the autofill) If by state you are referring to location as in US State, then what about using categories? You can attach a category to each event in that state, regardless of venue, and use the [EVENT_LIST category_identifier=your_category_identifier] |
|
Using the category_identifier doesn’t do the job for me. I need to place events in different states (actually provincies) in the same category as provincies are not that big and people visit the same kind of event in multiple venues/provincies. It is possible to use more than one category_identifier, I have been looking through the scripts but see no easy options (I am not a programmer) to make this possible for venue_id’s. Could this be done? Offering more filtering within shortcodes would be great! |

Hi, In answer, yes it could be done. I will add a feature request for this, but I doubt we will be able to get to it before 3.2 is out, and there is no guarantee of a feature request inclusion. That being said you are right in that some shortcodes could do with being updated and expanded on. Regarding the issue, I think with the tools available having two categories (province & other category) might be the only current solution. |

Hi Dean, Using two categories (one for provincies and one for activitiets) is exactly what I started doing to tackle this. Thanks for pointing in that direction. Thanks again! |

No problem. |
