I have someone coming to my conference who is unwilling to enter her name and address because she needs reassurance that the page is secure. I have offered to enter her data manually and that the transaction is secure because it is paypal processing it. Do you have a security statement somewhere that I can refer her?

Many thanks.

Hi Charlie,

It turns out that we don’t have a security statement. That being said, do you have an SSL certificate set up for the website where you’re accepting registrations?

If so, you could reassure her that the page is secure by sending her to https://yoursite.co/events and point out that if she clicks on the address bar of the browser she will see that the registration page is secure.

If you do not have an SSL certificate installed for your website, you can contact your host and they should be able to install one for a fee.
