Customizing the Event and Registration page

We have purchased the Business Licence, which includes the Custom Files Addon. However, I was wanting to check how you customizxe the CSS of the Event and Registration page, so that it can be made to look a bit prettier than the black and grey format used, along with increasing the length of the price field etc. Is this done through the Custom Files Addon, or via another method?

Also, second question is about Infusionsoft  Integration and adding a drop downbox to the registration form, which I understand we can do via Question addon. However, how are we able to add a Tag to the Registrations Contact Record? What we are wanting to do, is have a drop down box that allows them “the completor” to indicate if they wish the individuals to get their individual confirmation, or have a s ummary confirmation sent to the completor only, or both of the above.  Just wondering if the InfusionSoft Integration is robust enough to be able to do that.

Hiya Mike,

Event Espresso uses either the themes styles or Themeroller, if it is active. There are very few defualt Event Espresso styles.

Style changes can be done in a few ways, generally not needing the Custom Files add on. Firstly, via the Template Settings you can change the Themeroller style to one that is more suited to your site. You could even create a custom themeroller style.

Or you could add CSS via your themes style.css or a plugin such as My Custom CSS.

Regarding the infusionsoft question, it is so new I havent had the ability to play with it and currently dont have access to testing credentials so I cannot answer your question, so apologies for that.

I will pass this over to the developer who made the add on and ask him to respond or to advise me further, so we will get back to you on that

Hi Mike,

The Infusionsoft add-on does not have the capability to pass custom questions to Infusionsoft at this time. It seems that Infusionsoft forces you to have a “groupId” (their API term for tags) in order to assign the contact to a tag.

However, I  did add way to tag contacts when registering for events, so that registrants that are added to Infusionsoft are tagged when signing up for an event. You can add “infusionsoft_tag_id” meta key and your Tag id in the “Event Meta” (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/ivJ0xp4S) section of the event editor.

Hi Thanks for the responses, that’s very helpful.

With InfusionSoft integration, it would be great if were able to use the Question Field Values to create and assign a tag based on the value (so if field = x then [insert tag id to be applied in InfusionSoft] like what you have done with the InfusionSoft Campaign and Tag Id. I’m sure that maybe something on your list for future IS integration.
