Customizing Layout of the Event Post

I cannot edit the event layout. I should suppose to include widgets on the side, but the event post shows 1 whole page.

How can this be done? I’m using Education Themerex and WPBakery (Visual Composer) in my website.

Hi there,

May I ask does the Education Themerex theme allow for a sidebar/widget areas on its single post template? If it does then you select that page template option.
