How do I customize the columns of my registration form? The first column is super narrow… and looks really bad.

Hi Tammy,
Are you referring to the Terms and Conditions question? If so, this is because the questions are not indented to contain large amounts of text. While you can widen the column that displays the question, the forms input fields will have a larger gap between them and the questions.
What you can do is move the Terms and Conditions text into a Question Group Description. Then assign a required question that requires checking a box/clicking a radio button indicating they agree. Then you’ll want to make sure you assign your “Terms and Conditions” group to the event.
There is a sample event in our test drive site that has a Terms and Conditions question set up this way if you’d like to see how that looks:

Come on, Joshy-poo. The title of this field is “Question”. Have you EVEr seen a fully asked question that consists of only 3 words? The field needs to be longer. You guys need to fix this. It’s pretty pitiful. The entire site and tool is awesome, but this is very sub-par. There’s NO QUESTION that is going to be as small as you guys have this set as.
I would (NOW) kindly like the answer on HOW TO INCREASE THE COLUMN width, please.

As sue-happy as the public is, why don’t you guys build in a nice and easy “Terms & Conditions” field into the system? You KNOW it’s something the majority
would use!

Hi Tammy,
Thanks for your feedback. The terms and conditions option is a good idea and one that I will put forward to be considered for inclusion in future releases.
In respect to your question, there are no columns as such. The question wording is held in labels. This is set in the CSS to have a width of 150px. You can increase this by adding the following to your themes style.css file or to a plugin such as My Custom CSS
.event_espresso_form_wrapper label, .event_espresso_form_wrapper span.label {
width: 200px;
}
Obviously change the 200 to an appropriate figure.
