Custom Tickets EE4

Hi,

I have just finished making my own ticket using HTML/CSS. I naively thought I could simply replace the default ticket template’s code with mine in Messages, but it doesn’t work. I then stubbled upon this, but it is for EE3: am I right to assume it won’t work?

I also found Registering a Message Template Variation but it is quite high-level for the junior dev I am, and I am not even sure this is correct (it looks way harder than you’d imagine it needed to be).

Can I receive some guidance to create my own custom tickets template?

Hi,
Hope to be getting some answers today as my support queries are often left unanswered.

One update, I have followed the registration of message template packs instructions, but I can’t get it to work sadly. The plug-in is activated but the new template pack doesn’t appear in the style selection when I am trying to edit the tickets. I’m sure it’s a silly mistake, but some support would be appreciated!

Thanks

Josh

Hi,

You could check out this working example of a custom ticket template pack:

https://github.com/joshfeck/eemtp-name-badge-template-pack

What it does is set up a ticket that looks more like a name badge, using HTML and CSS.

Yeap I did find that after a lot of searching around since I’ve originally posted… Got it to work.

Thank you for answering anyway :).
